Way back in May of 2026 Milly Alcock the face of Supergirl felt the need to attack men for controlling women’s bodies on the press tour, she later went after Christian fathers as well for some reason. Herein we see how within James Gunn’s progressive DCU there is a racial and gender based hierarchy. As a young liberal woman Alcock of course was allowed to go off against an entire gender of people with little to no pushback at all.
Now here we are in September 2026 and Lanterns has taken this a step further. Firstly, the Co Host of a DC sponsored podcast accused Hal Jordan, traditional hero of Green Lantern comics of old of being a racist. No push back came from the studio. Gunn and co allow one of the most beloved figures in DC comics to be character assassinated simply because he is white. You can guarantee if something negative was said about Jon Stewart they would have stepped in. It gets much worse sadly, one of the writers of the series said that the Green Lantern ring itself was sexist, which again attempts to attack a classic element of comics lore, and once again DC says nothing as they can’t possibly go against the ad hoc opinion of a young black woman. As such it appears as though DC is quite happy to let its legacy characters be called names and spat on as long as they are white. Who can forget the trailer for Supergirl has Superman being urinated on by a dog. You could argue a pattern is starting to emerge.
Couple all of this with the blatant racism and race hate of the third episode of Lanterns that displayed Hals parents as not only being abusive, but also suffering deeply from victim complexes. Rather than show his parents as bad people the team has instead tried to deify them, which becomes increasingly problematic as his parents also seemed to be black supremacists and hate white people.
As such in one year alone you’ve had an attack on men, Christians and white people, all coming out under the oversight of James Gunn.
Remember if you’re one of these groups they hate you. Do not buy DC merch, don’t watch the films unless you do it in a way where they do make any money, and of course make you feelings known on social media so WBD is well aware.
